Got your thinking cap on?
What’s the difference between volunteering for beach clean up and harvesting backyard fruit?
Here is an easy one. Looking down vs looking up! Got another one, leave a comment below. But seriously what’s the purpose of this post?
The More the Merrier
No matter how many volunteers show up for the beach clean up, the work will go on. The more volunteers, the merrier. Backyard fruit harvests are less flexible. We need a minimum number of people to start a harvest, and there is a limit to the number of people that can fit in a backyard.
Moral of the story. If you have registered to volunteer, we are counting on you. Please show up. If you must cancel, please do so as soon as you can. need help? Click here How to Cancel Your Free Ticket
The Beach Does not Move
For beach clean up the destination is not moving (to be accurate, the beach is moving but at geological speed!) on the other hand harvest teams are on the move going from backyard to backyard. If you are more than a few minutes late the group may be off to the races without you, and that’s no fun.
I did my first harvest with a group of nice people today. it was fun and rewarding. My daughters enjoyed it too.
Thank you for the initiative. The idea is great!
